After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Reyes Barambio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yunza SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Reyes Barambio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonides Osuna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fidel Padin kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Miguel Manurga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonides Osuna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reyes Barambio in the 31st minute of play. Leonides Osuna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Hondon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yunza SC's De-Jesús Alamos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Espinoza Colunga in the 38th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Yunza SC's Miguel Manurga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonides Osuna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Reyes Barambio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Osuna having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Manurga couldn't finish the play. Miguel Manurga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Leonides Osuna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jose Ferreiras kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Bastidas were victorious despite being under pressure from Yunza SC for much of the match.
