Diaz Oterino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Frexes having to interfere. Veronica Olivarez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Obregón Guijano made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Stalin Carredano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tayuza SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Stalin Carredano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Obregón Guijano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diaz Oterino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but John Frexes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Obregón Guijano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, CD Sequer's Martin Larabiedra got a free kick in the 39th minute. Obregón Guijano acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 45th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Burbano Santome. The Tayuza SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CD Sequer were winning 0-1.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yoelvis Melgarejo during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
