UD Anchola's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Xofre Cañucar scored to the left of an out of position Zarando Natal, making the score, 1-0. In the 9th minute, Vera Vedeja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raúl Folgueral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 13 played minutes UD Anchola got a freekick which was hit by Martin Arenzana. Martin Arenzana's late challenge caught a Merchan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Arenzana helped the player get up and apologised. Martin Arenzana kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. A hard shot 17 in the game by Raúl Folgueral from a close distance when the talented Zarando Natal managed to make a qualified save. UD Anchola's players were relieved. When Vera Vedeja fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Merchan's protests and gave Vera Vedeja a yellow card for diving instead. After 18 played minutes Merchan got a freekick which was hit by Vera Vedeja. When Jose Llamazares came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the UD Anchola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jose Llamazares couldn't finish the play. Vera Vedeja kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Zarando Natal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xofre Cañucar in the 31st minute of the match. Raúl Folgueral who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Zarando Natal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Raúl Folgueral struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Zarando Natal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merchan. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xofre Cañucar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Xeromo Lunar kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Zarando Natal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raúl Folgueral in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute Xofre Cañucar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zarando Natal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merchan's Raúl Folgueral got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xove Aneutes in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cristian Villamil, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 64th minute Jose Llamazares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Villamil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. UD Anchola's Zarando Natal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl Folgueral in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th match minute, Merchan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xofre Cañucar to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xove Aneutes in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristian Villamil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jose Llamazares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Villamil having to interfere. Xofre Cañucar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Roman Vega charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roman Vega the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Roman Vega hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the match, Merchan's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Llamazares came free, but Cristian Villamil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raúl Folgueral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zarando Natal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Martin Arenzana got his second yellow card in the match during the 87th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to UD Anchola getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Martin Arenzana hit a great ball. In the 88th minute Xofre Cañucar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zarando Natal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xove Aneutes struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Cristian Villamil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Anchola. Zarando Natal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xofre Cañucar, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. When Raúl Folgueral came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Merchan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raúl Folgueral couldn't finish the play.
