The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Quillullaco's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Combarros came free, but Polo Robles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Valentin Aedo came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Salado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Aedo couldn't finish the play. If Zeledon Combarros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeledon Combarros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Polo Robles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Elias Escandàn charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elias Escandàn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 14 played minutes Salado got a freekick which was hit by Elias Escandàn. Telmo Sarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vigil Olazabala having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valentin Aedo got free with Polo Robles in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peter Duyos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Telmo Sarra in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vigil Olazabala prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Valentin Aedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vigil Olazabala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telmo Sarra, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Polo Robles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Combarros, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Vigil Olazabala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Duyos in the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peter Duyos kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Quillullaco's Chucho Cos got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Vigil Olazabala didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quillullaco. Salado's Vigil Olazabala proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Salado from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Salado's zone, Telmo Sarra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vigil Olazabala came out of the goal and Telmo Sarra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonardo Aranzana during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Leonardo Aranzana hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Salado's Vigil Olazabala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iván Dega in the 87th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Valentin Aedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salado's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Aedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Polo Robles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Salado booed when Quillullaco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xove Villariño didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quillullaco's Polo Robles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Combarros in the 96th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Salado had won after a very even match.
