Gregorio Peñin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Víctor Carrasquedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Aguada's supporters rose to their feet, but Víctor Carrasquedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gregorio Peñin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Urbano Navia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xian Arduengo having to make a save. In the 21st of the match, Freddy Llarena tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Xian Arduengo got in the way and made a wonderful save. If Calderón Pedreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gregorio Peñin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guagua Agreda, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute, Calderón Pedreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Xavier Urbieta's late challenge caught a UD Aguada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xavier Urbieta helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of UD Aguada booed when Zarzayacu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 31st minute, Víctor Carrasquedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gregorio Peñin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Aguada.

Brito Trillanes hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. When Víctor Carrasquedo fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UD Aguada's protests and gave Víctor Carrasquedo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th match minute, UD Aguada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Víctor Carrasquedo to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Urbano Navia in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xian Arduengo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Urbano Navia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Freddy Llarena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Zarzayacu's Gregorio Peñin got control of the ball when Víctor Carrasquedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Zarzayacu's Ur Beloso got a free kick in the 76th minute. After having played for 78 minutes, Calderón Pedreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Aguada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Calderón Pedreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zarzayacu's Gregorio Peñin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Zarzayacu from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calderón Pedreira in the 85th minute of play forced Zarzayacu's goalkeeper Gregorio Peñin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ur Beloso's late challenge caught a UD Aguada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Calderón Pedreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gregorio Peñin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the UD Aguada players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Zarzayacu.
