In the 12th minute, Javier Besteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Erwin Abeita fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UD Galope's protests and gave Erwin Abeita a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, UD Galope's Erwin Abeita got a free kick in the 13th minute. Flavio Serantes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Reyes Gipils made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Javier Besteiro took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Reyes Gipils to make any attempt to save it. Reyes Gipils showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Besteiro in the 23rd minute of the match. After 30 minutes, Trota Iturrate made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. UD Pitahuasi's Rosero Casavela tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to UD Galope getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Erwin Abeita hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, UD Galope's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Besteiro came free, but Reyes Gipils reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 36 minutes, Flavio Serantes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Pitahuasi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Serantes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. UD Pitahuasi's Javier Besteiro was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 39th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Javier Besteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reyes Gipils made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Flavio Serantes sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Rosero Casavela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lara Garro in the 51st minute of play. Javier Besteiro struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Reyes Gipils didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Pitahuasi. In the 56thth minute of the game Javier Besteiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UD Galope's Reyes Gipils was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Reyes Gipils took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Serantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 59 minutes, Flavio Serantes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Pitahuasi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Serantes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Javier Besteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Reyes Gipils tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. UD Galope's Reyes Gipils played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Serantes in the 65th minute of play. After 77 minutes of play UD Galope's Erwin Abeita was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Erwin Abeita hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Reyes Gipils showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Serantes in the 83rd minute of the match. After 84 played minutes UD Galope got a freekick which was hit by Lara Garro. The corner went over the outstretched arms of UD Galope's goalie and right to Cesar Castella. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. UD Galope's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After 91 minutes, Criban Castaosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UD Galope and the UD Pitahuasi players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of UD Pitahuasi booed when UD Galope was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Criban Castaosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 94 played minutes UD Pitahuasi got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Vizcaya. UD Galope's Patricio Aller couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 95th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for UD Pitahuasi. UD Pitahuasi's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
