Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Vitor Pelegrina kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Huasipamba SC's zone, Angel Pujado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Almonte came out of the goal and Angel Pujado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 5th match minute, Chavez SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sotomayor Chaves to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the match, Chavez SC's Jonatan Ayaso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Richard Almonte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Richard Almonte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentine Guillen in the 13th minute of play. 0-1 became the score in the 15th minute when Valentine Guillen elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Richard Almonte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonatan Ayaso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Chavez SC booed when Huasipamba SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitor Pelegrina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonatan Ayaso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valentine Guillen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Richard Almonte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valentine Guillen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th minute, Julio Malo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Valentine Guillen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chavez SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentine Guillen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richard Almonte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Valentine Guillen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitor Pelegrina in the 40th minute of play forced Chavez SC's goalkeeper Wellington Poso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sergio Horduña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Wellington Poso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Richard Almonte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonatan Ayaso in the 53rd minute. Richard Almonte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentine Guillen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonatan Ayaso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Richard Almonte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Richard Almonte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentine Guillen, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Huasipamba SC's Vitor Pelegrina got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 68th match minute, Chavez SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sotomayor Chaves to maneuver through the defense. Sergio Horduña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Wellington Poso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Huasipamba SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Valentine Guillen scored to the left of an out of position Richard Almonte, making the score, 0-2. Richard Almonte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentine Guillen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentine Guillen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Richard Almonte having to make a save. If Jonatan Ayaso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Huasipamba SC's Richard Almonte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentine Guillen in the 90th minute of play. Vitor Pelegrina might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wellington Poso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vitor Pelegrina ran back to his position shaking his head.
