Zeru Valines's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johnny Guiluz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th match minute, Amazonas SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Vallejoller to maneuver through the defense. CD Opoluca's Johnny Guiluz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeru Valines in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Vladimiro Calva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Johnny Guiluz. CD Opoluca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vladimiro Calva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Vicente Espriu took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xever Avila. Xever Avila dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The supporters of Amazonas SC booed when CD Opoluca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trivniño Maestro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vicente Espriu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Johnny Guiluz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeru Valines in the 39th minute of play. Zeru Valines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Guiluz having to interfere. The supporters of Amazonas SC booed when CD Opoluca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Calzada didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute, Zeru Valines left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Amazonas SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zambrano Ugia was the one to do the kick off. Norberto Vallejoller hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Xever Avila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Espriu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zeru Valines got free with Johnny Guiluz in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Norberto Vallejoller, 62 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Vicente Espriu put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Xever Avila. After 68 played minutes Amazonas SC got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Pizarro. Zambrano Ugia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute, Zeru Valines hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xever Avila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Espriu, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zambrano Ugia in the 86th minute of play forced Amazonas SC's goalkeeper Xever Avila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amazonas SC's Xever Avila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zambrano Ugia in the 91st minute of play. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Zambrano Ugia sped through Amazonas SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Xever Avila. CD Opoluca's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
