Ordóñez Muñoa hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Ambrossi Floranes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chandil's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gonzalo Lombera 5 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. A collision led to Sharqui getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Samuel Alcaraz hit a great ball. Samuel Alcaraz hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Chico Fortes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Sharqui's Samuel Alcaraz got a free kick in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Chandil's goalkeeper Fernando Castropan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ambrossi Floranes. When Yoel Ontova fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sharqui's protests and gave Yoel Ontova a yellow card for diving instead. After 15 played minutes Sharqui got a freekick which was hit by Yoel Ontova. In the 27th minute Fortunato Burgos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvis Barcenas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ramiro Pelayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvis Barcenas having to interfere. Elvis Barcenas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fortunato Burgos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernando Castropan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Lombera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

54 minutes into the match, Sharqui's goalkeeper Elvis Barcenas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zeledon Pablo. Elvis Barcenas was a little too slow when Fortunato Burgos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 1-1. If Ambrossi Floranes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 65th minute, Ambrossi Floranes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sharqui fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Zeledon Pablo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Elvis Barcenas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chandil fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. Penalty! The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sharqui fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chandil had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
