The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Roberto Ezcurra's late challenge caught a Chunquipata SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roberto Ezcurra helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Waruints FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Roberto Ezcurra hit a great ball. Justavino Corisco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zernin Paradelo in the 9th minute of the match. Xacintu Arostegui hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Xacintu Arostegui kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. If Estrada Palacio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26th minute, Zernin Paradelo made a precise shot to the right of Justavino Corisco. Chunquipata SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 31st minute Zernin Paradelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justavino Corisco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Klimowicz Loayza fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A collision led to Chunquipata SC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Rodrigo Antolin hit a great ball. Zernin Paradelo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zernin Paradelo in the 39th minute of play forced Chunquipata SC's goalkeeper Justavino Corisco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Zernin Paradelo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Justavino Corisco was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zernin Paradelo in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Justavino Corisco saved Chunquipata SC from getting behind. 47 minutes into the game, Chiriboga Cedrun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Waruints FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chunquipata SC the free kick. Chiriboga Cedrun hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The Chunquipata SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Waruints FC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Klimowicz Loayza made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Waruints FC's zone, Silvio Saracha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gutierrez Seco came out of the goal and Silvio Saracha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 58 minutes into the match, Klimowicz Loayza notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Waruints FC's Gutierrez Seco. Gutierrez Seco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 65 minutes, Lucio Cavazos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Waruints FC and the Chunquipata SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Waruints FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chunquipata SC:s goal. Waruints FC's Leo Riva shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 74th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Justavino Corisco but with some difficulty. In a very dangerous position, a player in Waruints FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! When Xacintu Arostegui was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 81 minutes had been played. In the 82nd match minute, Chunquipata SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xacintu Arostegui to maneuver through the defense. If Silvio Saracha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zernin Paradelo might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Justavino Corisco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zernin Paradelo ran back to his position shaking his head. Estrada Palacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justavino Corisco having to interfere.
