López Iranzo started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xzavaier Elizalde in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Morales Goyanes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The UD Rumiquincha fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when UD Rumiquincha's Xzavaier Elizalde looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Morales Goyanes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xzavaier Elizalde's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gonzales Godos during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gonzales Godos hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Cántaro Ogero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xzavaier Elizalde was the one to do the kick off. Xzavaier Elizalde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Morales Goyanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. López Iranzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Marin Opacio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marin Opacio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from López Iranzo in the 67th minute of the match. Marin Opacio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from López Iranzo in the 68th minute of play. Luciano Orallo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Morales Goyanes having to interfere. Zaquiel Sana hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Luciano Orallo struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Morales Goyanes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Rumiquincha. Marin Opacio came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Sacapiamba SC's Cántaro Ogero. But to his dismay, Cántaro Ogero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Luciano Orallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Morales Goyanes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. When Cántaro Ogero, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 83 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Marin Opacio was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. López Iranzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, UD Rumiquincha's goal looked a bit too open when López Iranzo came free, but Marin Opacio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sacapiamba SC's Cántaro Ogero got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xzavaier Elizaldes short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Morales Goyanes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Morales Goyanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xzavaier Elizalde in the 95th minute of the match. Luciano Orallo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Morales Goyanes having to interfere.
