The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Cristal booed when Turupamba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernandez Berges didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hernan Pons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vela Longar having to interfere. Vela Longar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Pons, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vela Longar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Suscal Parcerices in the 45th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Urbasa Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lopez Mallen having to interfere. Gomez Marques's late challenge caught a Cristal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gomez Marques helped the player get up and apologised. Gomez Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Lopez Mallen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zoilo Suesa, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Hernan Pons who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Vela Longar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 61 minutes into the match, Cristal's goal looked a bit too open when Suscal Parcerices came free, but Vela Longar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lopez Mallen came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Cristal's Urbasa Andrade. But to his dismay, Urbasa Andrade quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Lopez Mallen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zoilo Suesa went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. If Urbasa Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lopez Mallen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urbasa Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Suscal Parcerices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lopez Mallen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zoilo Suesa in the 87th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cristal had won after a very even match.
