CD Lando's supporters rose to their feet, but Cortez Tarres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesar Fornell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Cortez Tarres got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Cortez Tarres managed to get in a good position for a shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers González Leza in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Asensio Binet saved CD Lando from getting behind. Asensio Binet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from González Leza in the 43rd minute of the match. After 44 minutes, Urtats Montanez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CD Lando and the Lonta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th minute, González Leza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the CD Lando defense, González Leza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Asensio Binet. The CD Lando fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Asensio Binet should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Clemente Bedoya made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Lonta FC's Chico Puellas got a free kick in the 55th minute. If Xamo Negrete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, González Leza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Asensio Binet. The goal made the score 0-2. González Leza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asensio Binet having to interfere. Segundo Toral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Asensio Binet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind CD Lando's goalkeeper Asensio Binet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Clemente Bedoya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Xamo Negrete came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Lonta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xamo Negrete couldn't finish the play. After 85 minutes of play CD Lando's Urtats Montanez was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, CD Lando's Urtats Montanez got a free kick in the 86th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramiro Porta during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 92nd match minute, CD Lando was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiro Porta to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in CD Lando's zone, Chiriboga Goulo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Asensio Binet came out of the goal and Chiriboga Goulo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CD Lando's Asensio Binet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by González Leza in the 97th minute of play.
