Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Carretas's John Agranja started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Uhin Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Uhin Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carretas's Jacinto Viñambre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uhin Barbosa in the 6th minute of play. After having played for 7 minutes, Julian Valonga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huaquillas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Valonga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Carretas defense, Uhin Barbosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacinto Viñambre. The Carretas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacinto Viñambre should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, John Agranja managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carretas's supporters rose to their feet, but John Agranja was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franco Lete breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Huaquillas FC's Franco Lete played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Agranja in the 16th minute of play. Texeira Sandes in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Franco Lete, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Uhin Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Viñambre having to interfere. Julian Valonga struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Jacinto Viñambre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Huaquillas FC.
