When Moises Albizuri fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD Avelina's protests and gave Moises Albizuri a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Salucota booed when CD Avelina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Albizuri didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th match minute, CD Avelina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rixon Luengo to maneuver through the defense. Lorenzo Peñas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fiallos Sainz. CD Avelina's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience was convinced that Zenaido Feliu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fiallos Sainz was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. In a very dangerous position, a player in CD Avelina fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! Lorenzo Peñas shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 39th minute, Zenaido Feliu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Rixon Luengo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fiallos Sainz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zenaido Feliu in the 44th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Texeira Arin was the one to do the kick off. Salucota's Erwin Bidania played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Texeira Arin in the 53rd minute of play. Texeira Arin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Texeira Arin might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erwin Bidania. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Texeira Arin ran back to his position shaking his head. Jácome Paniagua succeeded in the game's 65th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Mendez Beyso managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Avelina's supporters rose to their feet, but Mendez Beyso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erwin Bidania breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Salucota! The excitement rose when CD Avelina's Cotera Peguero after 73 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Salucota's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Salucota's zone, Mendez Beyso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erwin Bidania came out of the goal and Mendez Beyso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
