Unax Cano kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. If Ataulfo Boveda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Quitumbita's Vera Sopena got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 15th play minute Ataulfo Boveda came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Roberto Icedo. 1-0. 19 minutes into the match, Mauricio Jugo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Quitumbita's Garcés Caicedo. Garcés Caicedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Clemente Campelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Ataulfo Boveda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quitumbita's supporters rose to their feet, but Ataulfo Boveda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Icedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 29 minutes, Urtats Agosta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UD Bachillero and the Quitumbita players grew even worse after the yellow card. Urtats Agosta hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Vicente Aleso managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Bachillero's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Aleso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Garcés Caicedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 34 minutes into the match, UD Bachillero's Vicente Aleso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Garcés Caicedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Mauricio Jugo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ataulfo Boveda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Roberto Icedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quitumbita were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after UD Bachillero's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Xuaco Villapun took the corner. Xuaco Villapun made a great header on Quitumbita's corner, it was just that UD Bachillero's Roberto Icedo managed to reach the ball for a save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Clemente Campelo to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Cumbicus Igarza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UD Bachillero and the Quitumbita players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for UD Bachillero! In the 54th minute there was a penalty for Quitumbita. Xuaco Villapun stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Roberto Icedo. 2-1. In the 57th minute, UD Bachillero's Mauricio Jugo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Garcés Caicedo. Garcés Caicedo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Garcés Caicedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vicente Aleso in the 63rd minute. UD Bachillero's Roberto Icedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ataulfo Boveda in the 65th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Aleso got free with Garcés Caicedo in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Quitumbita's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Mauricio Jugo scored to the left of an out of position Garcés Caicedo, making the score, 2-3. Mauricio Jugo struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Garcés Caicedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Bachillero. A collision led to Quitumbita getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Humberto Opazo hit a great ball. If Clemente Campelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th match minute, UD Bachillero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ponce Dolmos to maneuver through the defense. Ataulfo Boveda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the match, Quitumbita's Clemente Campelo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roberto Icedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mauricio Jugo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garcés Caicedo having to interfere. If Ataulfo Boveda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
