UD Cuyuja's Miguel Gabiña proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save UD Cuyuja from getting a goal against them. In the 4th match minute, UD Cuyuja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquin Fontarigo to maneuver through the defense. Carnero Carballal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 12 minutes of play, UD Cuyuja's Víctor Menchaca made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walme Mantecon was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vimaro Cuba in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walme Mantecon saved UD Zhina from getting behind. The supporters of UD Cuyuja booed when UD Zhina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Saboya didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vimaro Cuba in the 27th minute of play forced UD Zhina's goalkeeper Walme Mantecon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29thth minute of the game Víctor Menchaca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UD Zhina's Walme Mantecon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. UD Cuyuja's Miguel Gabiña proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save UD Cuyuja from getting a goal against them. Walme Mantecon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Víctor Menchaca's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Carnero Carballal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Gabiña having to interfere. Walme Mantecon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Víctor Menchaca, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The UD Zhina players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. UD Cuyuja were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Víctor Menchaca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, UD Zhina's Xabat Ariztimuño got a free kick in the 50th minute. With an all-out effort, UD Cuyuja's Walme Mantecon threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Víctor Menchaca, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Santo Puerto hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. UD Cuyuja's Vimaro Cuba got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Juan Hilari hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Víctor Menchaca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 75 minutes, Martinez Corrales mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UD Cuyuja and the UD Zhina players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th minute, Martinez Corrales hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carnero Carballal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, UD Zhina's Carnero Carballal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miguel Gabiña narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Miguel Gabiña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carnero Carballal, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Víctor Menchaca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Walme Mantecon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vimaro Cuba might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Walme Mantecon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vimaro Cuba ran back to his position shaking his head. Walme Mantecon made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Vimaro Cuba sent off a good shot on target.
