The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Parisi Azurmendi kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Alonzo Balines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nixon Izaguirre in the 10th minute of play. Eduardo Contreras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elkin Bailey in the 19th minute of play. Eduardo Contreras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elkin Bailey in the 21st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Botadero FC's Felipe Orruma got a free kick in the 24th minute. Alonzo Balines made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Zumar Gorbea sent off a good shot on target. Botadero FC's Alonzo Balines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nixon Izaguirre in the 30th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Nixon Izaguirre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guarangos FC's Valentin Urquizu suffered a sore foot after 34 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 35 played minutes Botadero FC got a freekick which was hit by Blanco Leiro. After a rather tough play, Botadero FC's Xofre Silvestri got a free kick in the 37th minute. 38 minutes into the game, Nixon Izaguirre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guarangos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Botadero FC the free kick. Nixon Izaguirre kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. A collision led to Botadero FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Mario Llata hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elkin Bailey to make the kick off. Zumar Gorbea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Balines having to interfere. George Edeon took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eduardo Contreras. Eduardo Contreras dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 64th minute Elkin Bailey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Contreras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Parisi Azurmendi was shown his second yellow card after 67 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Guarangos FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Parisi Azurmendi hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Elkin Bailey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eduardo Contreras was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Elkin Bailey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd match minute, Guarangos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by De-Jesús Cobides to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elkin Bailey in the 73rd minute of play forced Guarangos FC's goalkeeper Eduardo Contreras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Edeon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Eduardo Contreras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eduardo Contreras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elkin Bailey in the 88th minute of the match. If Zumar Gorbea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elkin Bailey in the 94th minute of play forced Guarangos FC's goalkeeper Eduardo Contreras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
