Javita SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustin Santiuste was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

If Urko Cotan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Javita SC played a much better game than CD Gualaqui and deserved their victory. The CD Gualaqui players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
