The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Murillo Congeys short, quick shot in the 4thth minute got Aurelio Condal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Murillo Congey in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aurelio Condal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Daniel Dean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Macias Arriola in the 6th minute of the match. When Macias Arriola came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Chiquilpe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Macias Arriola couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Murillo Congey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marcoloma FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Murillo Congey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelio Condal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Dean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Macias Arriola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Murillo Congeys short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Aurelio Condal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fernando Rebustillo struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Aurelio Condal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marcoloma FC. If Macias Arriola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Dean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Varandalla in the 39th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Rodolfo Artime hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute of the match Roberto Aceituno sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aurelio Condal skillfully saved the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Rebustillo made a kick off. After some careless play in the Chiquilpe defense, Murillo Congey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aurelio Condal. The Chiquilpe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aurelio Condal should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Rebustillo in the 59th minute of play forced Chiquilpe's goalkeeper Aurelio Condal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Rebustillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Condal having to interfere. When Marcoloma FC's Murillo Congey in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chiquilpe's goalie prevented a goal. Fernando Rebustillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Murillo Congey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marcoloma FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Murillo Congey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelio Condal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Chiquilpe's Xizavier Guibar got a free kick in the 90th minute. Murillo Congey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Aurelio Condal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Marcoloma FC had won after a very even match.
