Jaime Neli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orlando Querejeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferrer Geli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferrer Geli in the 42nd minute of play forced Cavino's goalkeeper Orlando Querejeta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Centeno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xinaro Coria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ferrer Geli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Orlando Querejeta came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by UD Samborondon's Ferrer Geli. But to his dismay, Ferrer Geli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Ricardo Centeno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xinaro Coria in the 59th minute of play. Xinaro Coria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Ricardo Centeno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cavino's zone, Ferrer Geli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Querejeta came out of the goal and Ferrer Geli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of UD Samborondon booed when Cavino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segio Reve didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urtun Porta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Orlando Querejeta. Cavino's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, UD Samborondon's Ricardo Centeno got control of the ball when Oswaldo Villalambrus tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 77th minute, Cavino's Xinaro Coria ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ricardo Centeno. Ricardo Centeno yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Cavino's Orlando Querejeta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Bellid in the 84th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Ferrer Geli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UD Samborondon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. When Claudio Bellid came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the UD Samborondon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudio Bellid couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 95 minutes, Ricardo Centeno successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 98 minutes into the match, UD Samborondon's Ferrer Geli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Orlando Querejeta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cavino's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
