An unexpectedly hard shot by Cuero Vasaburu in the 7th minute of play forced UD Cotagchoa's goalkeeper Romeo Liquiñano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romeo Liquiñano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Veidazar, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Mauro Veidazar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Romeo Liquiñano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Reasco Urrejola struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Romeo Liquiñano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Huito. In the 17th minute Humberto Pantojas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos-Alberto Pedron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, CD Huito's Cuero Vasaburu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Romeo Liquiñano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Romeo Liquiñano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Veidazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cuero Vasaburu in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romeo Liquiñano saved UD Cotagchoa from getting behind. 29 minutes into the game, Faustino Romerano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UD Cotagchoa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Huito the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Humberto Pantojas in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos-Alberto Pedron prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erwin Prada kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Octavio Bonal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Carlos-Alberto Pedron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Humberto Pantojas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erwin Prada's late challenge caught a UD Cotagchoa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erwin Prada helped the player get up and apologised. Erwin Prada kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Humberto Pantojas to make the kick off. Octavio Bonal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos-Alberto Pedron having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Esteban Romo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UD Cotagchoa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Huito the free kick. In the 59th match minute, UD Cotagchoa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Romo to maneuver through the defense. Cuero Vasaburu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Romeo Liquiñano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Octavio Bonal ran back to his position shaking his head. Carlos-Alberto Pedron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Pantojas in the 75th minute of play. Romeo Liquiñano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reasco Urrejola, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After a rather tough play, CD Huito's Erwin Prada got a free kick in the 87th minute. Mauro Veidazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Romeo Liquiñano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Octavio Bonal came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the UD Cotagchoa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octavio Bonal couldn't finish the play. Octavio Bonal struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Carlos-Alberto Pedron didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Cotagchoa. Cuero Vasaburu hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The UD Cotagchoa supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching CD Huito's performance. The match ended with a win for CD Huito.
