Urbasa Bardeci who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Rodrigo Saboya when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Selvayacu's Jairón Azpe got a free kick in the 6th minute. Cornelio Eguilaz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Rodrigo Saboya made a huge save. Xzaiver Hebia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 17 minutes Pondoa FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zuzen Jamilio who took care of the corner kick. Selvayacu's Rodrigo Saboya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Selvayacu from getting a goal against them. Rodrigo Saboya was a little too slow when Urbasa Bardeci got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-0. Pondoa FC's De-la-Cruz Varaona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cántaro Urive in the 33rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Pondoa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yiyo Beltranilla came free, but De-la-Cruz Varaona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Selvayacu's Cántaro Urive sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that De-la-Cruz Varaona narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cántaro Urive made a kick off. Cornelio Eguilaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Selvayacu's Rodrigo Saboya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Eguilaz in the 59th minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Pondoa FC's Urbasa Bardeci nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodrigo Saboya made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Cántaro Urive sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pondoa FC's Urbasa Bardeci got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th minute Urbasa Bardeci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Saboya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jairón Azpe during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jairón Azpe hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. De-la-Cruz Varaona was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Cántaro Urive capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cántaro Urive really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. 92 minutes into the game, Selvayacu's Yiyo Beltranilla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. De-la-Cruz Varaona made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After a rather tough play, Pondoa FC's Xzaiver Hebia got a free kick in the 95th minute. Yiyo Beltranilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without De-la-Cruz Varaona having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
