Enrique Guisla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lopez Coteron read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Aguirre Mangual kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. When Arias Garizabal was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 23 minutes had been played. Sergio Corres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Cabuya SC's Oso Santavida got a free kick in the 28th minute. Sergio Corres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan-Pablo Oyaga having to make a save. In the 35th minute, Sergio Corres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan-Pablo Oyaga was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 49 minutes into the match, Enrique Guisla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lopez Coteron. Morona FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enrique Guisla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sergio Corres to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling George Rutges in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lopez Coteron prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 57th minute, Sergio Corres made a precise shot to the right of Juan-Pablo Oyaga. Cabuya SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Morona FC's Lopez Coteron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Rutges in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Guisla in the 91st minute of play forced Morona FC's goalkeeper Lopez Coteron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrique Guisla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lopez Coteron having to interfere. In the 97th minute, George Rutges made a precise shot to the right of Lopez Coteron. Morona FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The Morona FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Cabuya SC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
