The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fiallos Olloque during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Salache's Zigor Guill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ordóñez Vial in the 66th minute of play. Zigor Guill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ordóñez Vial, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute Ordóñez Vial shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zigor Guill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the game, Raimundo Vardeci cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Xosepe Celerain was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ordóñez Vial recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. CD Cuvintzi's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
