Omar Alcano's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Zigor Guill firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Justavino Lemus sped through Talahua's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Espiga Esquide. Omar Alcano struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Zigor Guill didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talahua. Salache's Esterilla Doles got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Omar Alcano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jairo Vallines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zigor Guill having to interfere. Luis Oribe hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, Talahua's Jairo Vallines ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zigor Guill. Zigor Guill yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Justavino Lemus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Espiga Esquide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justavino Lemus, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Justavino Lemus was the one to do the kick off. Yader Olave's late challenge caught a Salache's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yader Olave helped the player get up and apologised. Espiga Esquide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justavino Lemus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Justavino Lemus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edwin Redondas hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Talahua's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Esteban Meca was slow to take the kick. During this time Salache's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, Salache's Urre Bulnes got a free kick in the 59th minute. The free kick made by Salache's Urre Bulnes led to a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Esterilla Doles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Espiga Esquide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute of the match Esteban Meca shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Espiga Esquide showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Zigor Guill came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Talahua's Omar Alcano. But to his dismay, Omar Alcano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 74th minute of the match, Esterilla Doles got a very nice opportunity to score, but Espiga Esquide was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 78th minute, Jairo Vallines got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 82 minutes into the game, Delgado Reguer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Talahua's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salache the free kick. In the 83rd match minute, Talahua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delgado Reguer to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the game, Jairo Vallines cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Zigor Guill was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zigor Guill stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jairo Vallines's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. After a rather tough play, Salache's Romulo Aleja got a free kick in the 91st minute. Talahua's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
