Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ordóñez Vial kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Talahua's goal looked a bit too open when Ordóñez Vial came free, but Espiga Esquide reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jairo Vallines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the match, Talahua's goal looked a bit too open when Zilar Fragua came free, but Espiga Esquide reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramón Pimentel hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Zilar Fragua struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Espiga Esquide didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Cuvintzi. After a defensive mix-up in Talahua's zone, Zilar Fragua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Espiga Esquide came out of the goal and Zilar Fragua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of CD Cuvintzi booed when Talahua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erick Parga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 minutes, Erick Parga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Talahua and the CD Cuvintzi players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ismael Barria was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 25th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, CD Cuvintzi's Perlaza Lainez got a free kick in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Escobar Urraca in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xosepe Celerain saved CD Cuvintzi from getting behind. In the 46th minute Zilar Fragua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Espiga Esquide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Escobar Urraca made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Ordóñez Vial took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Espiga Esquide to make any attempt to save it. If Ordóñez Vial had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramón Pimentel hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. When Ordóñez Vial came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the CD Cuvintzi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ordóñez Vial couldn't finish the play. After having played for 68 minutes, Ordóñez Vial managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Cuvintzi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ordóñez Vial was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Talahua getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Erick Parga hit a great ball. CD Cuvintzi were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Talahua's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ismael Barria took the corner. Espiga Esquide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ordóñez Vial in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th match minute, Talahua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delgado Reguer to maneuver through the defense. Talahua's Erick Parga suffered a sprained foot after 76 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 76 minutes, Fiallos Olloque mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CD Cuvintzi and the Talahua players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 77 played minutes CD Cuvintzi got a freekick which was hit by Fiallos Olloque. Rosero Franquis did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Espiga Esquide 80 minutes into the match. Ramón Pimentel's late challenge caught a CD Cuvintzi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramón Pimentel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th minute, Ismael Barria sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Talahua's Espiga Esquide didn't even have to move. CD Cuvintzi's Xosepe Celerain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Vallines in the 87th minute of play. After a rather tough play, CD Cuvintzi's Vladimiro Devalla got a free kick in the 91st minute.
