When Mauricio Cebada came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Cuchudel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauricio Cebada couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Humberto Inchaurdi during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 10 played minutes, Cuchudel's Johnny Mendaña shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Santiago Mostache came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cuchudel reached it. The supporters of Cuchudel booed when CD Aycallate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitin Cofresi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, CD Aycallate's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Cebada came free, but Santiago Mostache reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diaz Pinos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cuchudel's Radomil Kosmatka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klimowitz Pelaci in the 22nd minute of play. Santiago Mostache showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornelio Santotis in the 25th minute of the match. Diego Domene's late challenge caught a Cuchudel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Domene helped the player get up and apologised. After 27 played minutes CD Aycallate got a freekick which was hit by Diego Domene. After a defensive mix-up in CD Aycallate's zone, Mauricio Cebada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Mostache came out of the goal and Mauricio Cebada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of CD Aycallate booed when Cuchudel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fleitas Morales didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Klimowitz Pelaci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The wind increased when Diaz Pinos made the kick off in the second half. If Diaz Pinos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santiago Mostache showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diaz Pinos, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Diego Domene fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radomil Kosmatka having to interfere. If Klimowitz Pelaci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mauricio Cebada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mauricio Cebada in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Santiago Mostache, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Santiago Mostache stood somewhat misplaced when Diaz Pinos came free in front of goal and shot 0-1 to the left of him in the 73 minute. If Diaz Pinos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 85 minutes into the match, Cuchudel's Diaz Pinos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santiago Mostache narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Diaz Pinos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Eduardo Obaya managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cuchudel's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Obaya was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Mostache breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cuchudel's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
