A collision led to Pinantura getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Walter Infiesto hit a great ball. If Cotera Cañas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pinantura's zone, Urki Herquinigo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Macías Vinegra came out of the goal and Urki Herquinigo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cotera Cañas struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Macías Vinegra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sao FC. Hernandez Pandal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pinantura's Macías Vinegra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Espejo in the 36th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vincente Taran to make the kick off. Teofilio Ubago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincente Taran in the 53rd minute of the match. Jairón Obana's late challenge caught a Pinantura's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jairón Obana helped the player get up and apologised. After 56 played minutes Sao FC got a freekick which was hit by Jairón Obana. Xaime Alemparte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilio Ubago having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Vincente Taran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teofilio Ubago was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Cotera Cañas did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Macías Vinegra 66 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute Cotera Cañas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Macías Vinegra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 minutes of play, Sao FC's Urki Herquinigo made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Macías Vinegra was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cotera Cañas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Pinantura's Macías Vinegra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Pinantura from getting a goal against them. Sao FC's Pedro Borjas got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 80 minutes, Urki Herquinigo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sao FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urki Herquinigo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Borjas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Macías Vinegra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cotera Cañas had several of the Pinantura's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 84 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Macías Vinegra as he didn't even see the shot coming. 87 minutes into the match, Sao FC's Jairón Obana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Macías Vinegra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Macías Vinegra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urki Herquinigo in the 88th minute of the match. Urki Herquinigo kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Hernandez Pandal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Macías Vinegra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cotera Cañas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Pinantura fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sao FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
