Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Xelo Cavaneros took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 2 played minutes Mercadillo SC got a freekick which was hit by Virgilio Herce. A collision led to Sao FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Urki Herquinigo hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Pedro Borjas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sao FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Borjas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentim Riguez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cotera Cañas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentim Riguez having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Pedro Borjas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Walter Grolet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernandez Pandal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, Teo Cordova hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ataulfo Cerezo might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valentim Riguez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ataulfo Cerezo ran back to his position shaking his head. Hernandez Pandal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Urki Herquinigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Borjas got free with Valentim Riguez in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th minute, Virgilio Herce left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mercadillo SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Hernandez Pandal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sao FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernandez Pandal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The supporters of Sao FC booed when Mercadillo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Reve didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th match minute, Mercadillo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Herce to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Sao FC booed when Mercadillo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martinez Maseda didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Ataulfo Cerezo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sao FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ataulfo Cerezo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Mercadillo SC's zone, Ataulfo Cerezo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentim Riguez came out of the goal and Ataulfo Cerezo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Hernandez Pandal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valentim Riguez came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Sao FC's Cotera Cañas. But to his dismay, Cotera Cañas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 89th minute, Urki Herquinigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hernandez Pandal struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Valentim Riguez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sao FC.
