Edwin Incera was slow to take the kick. During this time Saicam FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Edwin Incera almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Procuraduria's Daniel Almonte did a great save. After a rather tough play, Saicam FC's Freddy Trianes got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute Ximenes Perrote shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Almonte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Almonte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ximenes Perrote's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ximenes Perrote in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Almonte saved Procuraduria from getting behind. After 24 played minutes Procuraduria got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Cuervo. Edwin Incera took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Daniel Almonte. Procuraduria's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Ximenes Perrote, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 28 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Daniel Almonte was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Procuraduria's Daniel Almonte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Espinoza Samperio in the 30th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Procuraduria's zone, Ximenes Perrote stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Almonte came out of the goal and Ximenes Perrote tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Almonte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Roa in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute Saicam FC were awarded a corner. Edwin Incera went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience was convinced that Ximenes Perrote's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Almonte was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. In the 46th minute, Procuraduria's Humberto Hernaiz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fabio Cañas. Fabio Cañas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Tofiño stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Procuraduria's Macias Vellosillo got a free kick in the 63rd minute. When Gabriel Roa fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After 88 minutes, Ximenes Perrote made it 1-6 with a short kick to the right side. Procuraduria's Daniel Almonte tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gabriel Roa was shown his second yellow card after 91 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 92 played minutes Saicam FC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Roa. The audience was convinced that Ximenes Perrote's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Almonte was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. When the final whistle sounded Saicam FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Procuraduria.
