Pachicutza FC's Martin Bara got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Candelario Morais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Alvaredo in the 7th minute of play. If Aires Trespuentes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Rodolfo Bodelon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 14 minutes of play Guayama's Rodolfo Bodelon was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Guayama's Rodolfo Bodelon got a free kick in the 15th minute. Guayama's Candelario Morais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Alvaredo in the 17th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Jose Alvaredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Candelario Morais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Alvaredo in the 35th minute of play. Jose Alvaredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candelario Morais having to interfere. Guayama's Franco Barbeito got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Guayama booed when Pachicutza FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venceslas Galnares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramon Lloredo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Parrales Yerro firmly grabbed it by the left post. Pachicutza FC's Yago Arandia has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 47th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jose Alvaredo was the one to do the kick off. Candelario Morais made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martin Bara in the 51st minute. Jose Alvaredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Ramon Lloredo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Parrales Yerro was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Aires Trespuentes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Parrales Yerro having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Pachicutza FC's zone, Ramon Lloredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Parrales Yerro came out of the goal and Ramon Lloredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 83 minutes, Ramon Lloredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guayama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramon Lloredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jose Alvaredo came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Pachicutza FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jose Alvaredo couldn't finish the play. Ramon Lloredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Parrales Yerro having to interfere. Candelario Morais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Alvaredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
