Cuero Ramirez kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. If Jorge Ferreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute, Raul Nieves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Klimovich Jetino scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yader Barbadillo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the UD Ligli defense, Ramiro Bodes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Omar Candolias. The UD Ligli fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Omar Candolias should have stopped the shot. Klimovich Jetino's late challenge caught a CD Piragua's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Klimovich Jetino helped the player get up and apologised. Klimovich Jetino kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 28th minute of the match Esteban Gabirondo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Omar Candolias showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 29th minute, Cuero Ramirez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raul Nieves charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raul Nieves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Raul Nieves kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. The supporters of CD Piragua booed when UD Ligli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cuero Ramirez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Klimovich Jetino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yader Barbadillo having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, CD Piragua's goal looked a bit too open when Xamin Galarreta came free, but Yader Barbadillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esteban Gabirondo kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Yader Barbadillo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 45th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gustavo Masdeu. Leon Consul kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xamin Galarreta made a kick off. Yader Barbadillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xamin Galarreta in the 51st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in CD Piragua's zone, Klimovich Jetino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yader Barbadillo came out of the goal and Klimovich Jetino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Ferreiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oswaldo Llana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Candolias having to interfere. UD Ligli's Omar Candolias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Ferreiro in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Kléber Ali hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jorge Ferreiro came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the CD Piragua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Ferreiro couldn't finish the play. After having played for 79 minutes, Jorge Ferreiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Piragua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Ferreiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Klimovich Jetino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 played minutes UD Ligli got a freekick which was hit by Ortíz Susvilla. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
