Adrian Grøndahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mendoza Joseph, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 76th minute, Sánchez Alcano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The G2O fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. 81 minutes into the match, Mendoza Joseph notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of G2O's Adrian Grøndahl. Adrian Grøndahl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 84 minutes into the match, G2O's goal looked a bit too open when Mendoza Joseph came free, but Adrian Grøndahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the G2O defense, Mendoza Joseph kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrian Grøndahl. The G2O fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrian Grøndahl should have stopped the shot. In the 91st minute, G2O's Sánchez Alcano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-4. If João Modrić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Sánchez Alcano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oso Amezaga. C.A. GUAYACO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sánchez Alcano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-5. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing G2O would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
