The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Neto Basel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 6th minute of the match Blai Idiaquez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Inocencio Valls showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Americo Rosal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Americo Rosal came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the NIKE FC. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Americo Rosal couldn't finish the play. Americo Rosal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute Hector-Luis Florian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Ganado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Ruben Altamirano took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Javier Ganado to make any attempt to save it. After 24 played minutes Guacharco got a freekick which was hit by Vasco Jara. After 27 played minutes Guacharco got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Escabi. Inocencio Valls showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neto Basel in the 30th minute of the match. Americo Rosal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Inocencio Valls tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 35 minutes, Neto Basel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NIKE FC.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Neto Basel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute, Americo Rosal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NIKE FC. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 39th minute, Americo Rosal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Humberto Franquis kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Javier Ganado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector-Luis Florian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 48 minutes into the match, Ruben Altamirano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Javier Ganado. NIKE FC.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ruben Altamirano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

After a rather tough play, NIKE FC.'s Bero Benitua got a free kick in the 56th minute. 64 minutes into the game, NIKE FC.'s Americo Rosal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Inocencio Valls made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Humberto Franquis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd match minute, Guacharco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Franquis to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the match, Guacharco's goal looked a bit too open when Neto Basel came free, but Inocencio Valls reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, NIKE FC.'s Neto Basel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inocencio Valls narrowly saved just below the crossbar. NIKE FC.'s Baldomero Hurdinosa managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Vasco Jara in the 78 minute of the game. Americo Rosal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Valls having to interfere. Jesus Ocasio kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Beliran Lejobeitia's late challenge caught a NIKE FC.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beliran Lejobeitia helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd minute, Beliran Lejobeitia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
