Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Cate's Onofre Quijada started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ixona Anillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jusepe Cabrerizo in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Almaguer in the 5th minute of play forced Iguanero's goalkeeper Primeiro Lugunez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 7 played minutes Cate got a freekick which was hit by Bertin Mogoruza. Iguanero's Primeiro Lugunez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Onofre Quijada in the 11th minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Primeiro Lugunez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Onofre Quijada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdinand Alda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ixona Anillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. If Victorino Almaguer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 played minutes Iguanero got a freekick which was hit by Jusepe Cabrerizo. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jusepe Cabrerizo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jusepe Cabrerizo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Victorino Almaguer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Iguanero's zone, Victorino Almaguer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Primeiro Lugunez came out of the goal and Victorino Almaguer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th minute Ferdinand Alda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ixona Anillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bertin Mogoruza kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Ferdinand Alda notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Cate's Ixona Anillo. Ixona Anillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Amadeo Arnuero fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iguanero's protests and gave Amadeo Arnuero a yellow card for diving instead. Oro Butron's late challenge caught a Cate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oro Butron helped the player get up and apologised. Oro Butron hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. When Ferdinand Alda came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Iguanero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferdinand Alda couldn't finish the play. The Cate players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
