Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Peru's Julian Murillo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Robin Sharma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 13th minute of play. Karol Panasewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 18th minute Karol Panasewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Epigonoi Honjas threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Alonso Berganza quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 21st minute Karol Panasewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karol Panasewicz in the 24th minute of play. Karol Panasewicz had several of the Peru's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 25 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Rolando Noboa as he didn't even see the shot coming. Karol Panasewicz struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blue Mountain State. Blue Mountain State were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Afşar Uçuk took the corner. The corner led to Blue Mountain State's Yaser Oğuzman getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Karol Panasewicz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Rolando Noboa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Karol Panasewicz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karol Panasewicz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karol Panasewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Robin Sharma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 57th minute Blue Mountain State were awarded a corner. Afşar Uçuk went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 59th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robin Sharma was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Blue Mountain State's Gökcan Bergin was substituted for Aykut Aşkın. Epigonoi Honjas made in the 63rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Robin Sharma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute Luis Vázquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Blue Mountain State's Luis Vázquez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robin Sharma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Vázquez in the 75th minute of play. In the 81st minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Sharma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blue Mountain State's Luis Vázquez pulled a muscle in his leg after 84 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, Peru's Efraim Gilabert got a free kick in the 84th minute. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Efraim Gilabert hit a great ball. When Luis Vázquez came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Blue Mountain State fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Vázquez couldn't finish the play. A throw-in in the 91st minute of the game was made by Epigonoi Honjas with Afşar Uçuk as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 92nd match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonso Berganza to maneuver through the defense. Luis Vázquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Peru's Rafael Gallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robin Sharma narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
