Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Chachafruto FC's Mancio Gener started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Isaac Guerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mancio Gener, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Isaac Guerra didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 8th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. After having played for 13 minutes, Curcio Hoyon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Platanera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Curcio Hoyon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Isaac Guerra managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Chachafruto FC's Luis-Antonio Bilbao fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 17th minute of the match Iparragirre Mazariegos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Quico Andolz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luis-Antonio Bilbao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Guerra having to interfere. Iparragirre Mazariegos hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Mancio Gener sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Platanera's Azubeli Barroiz got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Chachafruto FC's Mancio Gener got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Azubeli Barroiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Quico Andolz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodoro Belber's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Quico Andolz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Curcio Hoyon notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Chachafruto FC's Quico Andolz. Quico Andolz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mancio Gener in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isaac Guerra saved Platanera from getting behind. Azubeli Barroiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quico Andolz having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Azubeli Barroiz to strike the kick off in the second half. Veremundo Campoo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Quico Andolz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Azubeli Barroiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The supporters of Platanera booed when Chachafruto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Baldaliso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Azubeli Barroiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, Platanera's goal looked a bit too open when Mancio Gener came free, but Isaac Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaztea Aranzana lost his temper 72 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Platanera! The referee gave Chachafruto FC a penalty, 74 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Silverio Almaraz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Platanera's Isaac Guerra. 2-1. Quico Andolz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Curcio Hoyon in the 77th minute. Isaac Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mancio Gener in the 81st minute of the match. Isaac Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis-Antonio Bilbao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th match minute, Platanera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Belber to maneuver through the defense. If Luis-Antonio Bilbao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Chachafruto FC booed when Platanera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iparragirre Mazariegos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chachafruto FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Platanera for a fine match.
