Fagildo Salvatierra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvarez Pombo having to interfere. After 7th play minutes Eduino Garces shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Alvarez Pombo and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 11th minute Cordarrel Calderero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenz Jorrin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, Eduino Garces got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Fagildo Salvatierra put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Alvarez Pombo. After having played for 40 minutes, Fagildo Salvatierra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaimia 's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fagildo Salvatierra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 41 in the game by Eduino Garces from a close distance when the talented Alvarez Pombo managed to make a qualified save. Rupavita FC's players were relieved. Alvarez Pombo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fagildo Salvatierra in the 44th minute of play. Eduino Garcess short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Alvarez Pombo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alvarez Pombo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fagildo Salvatierra, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fagildo Salvatierra was the one to do the kick off. Eduino Garces might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvarez Pombo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eduino Garces ran back to his position shaking his head. Fagildo Salvatierra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvarez Pombo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. After having played for 74 minutes, Eduino Garces managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaimia 's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduino Garces was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Fagildo Salvatierra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvarez Pombo came out of the goal and Fagildo Salvatierra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the match, Guaimia 's goal looked a bit too open when Jacindo Tarulla came free, but Lorenz Jorrin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cordarrel Calderero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Lorenz Jorrin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 95 minutes, Santos Ubach mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guaimia and the Rupavita FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Santos Ubach kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
