Transito Sever fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fertus Aponte having to interfere. Viator Grau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ponc Fresco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cesaro Navia hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Reynaldo Galantia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ponc Fresco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Indiana booed when Tumechico FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Galantia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Navarro Buison, 24 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Indiana's Benet Laiz got a free kick in the 28th minute. Octavio Arbulo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 29th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Tumechico FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Txurio Lada hit a great ball. Viator Grau was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Ponc Fresco capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ponc Fresco really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Cesaro Navia kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Octavio Arbulo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 48th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Transito Sever made a kick off. Fertus Aponte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Etxekopar Armendariz in the 53rd minute. Fertus Aponte went to the wrong direction when Octavio Arbulo was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After having played for 67 minutes, Modesto Carmenata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Indiana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Modesto Carmenata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tumechico FC's Etxekopar Armendariz got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ponc Fresco in the 79th minute of play forced Tumechico FC's goalkeeper Viator Grau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Etxekopar Armendariz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Fertus Aponte made a huge save. In the 86th minute, Modesto Carmenata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Indiana defense, Etxekopar Armendariz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fertus Aponte. The Indiana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fertus Aponte should have stopped the shot. The Indiana supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tumechico FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Tumechico FC.
