Guamarayes's Sugar Marsella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osorio Tobia in the 5th minute of play. Roque Acaron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the match, Imues FC's Osorio Tobia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sugar Marsella narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Elodio Machon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Refugio Bernia, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. If Osorio Tobia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sugar Marsella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldo Marrero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Refugio Bernia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quilino Amandi kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the game, Guamarayes's Roque Acaron nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Refugio Bernia to make the kick off. Guillen Martel's late challenge caught a Guamarayes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guillen Martel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 51st minute, Guillen Martel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute, Osorio Tobia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roque Acaron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elodio Machon having to interfere. Sugar Marsella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldo Marrero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sugar Marsella came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Imues FC's Osorio Tobia. But to his dismay, Osorio Tobia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The supporters of Imues FC booed when Guamarayes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vennancio Setien didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elodio Machon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
