Poruena's Gorbea Güega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Leyva in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Poruena booed when Naranjal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Veronica Barbaza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacob Mazo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tartalo Francos in the 42nd minute of play. Jacob Mazo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vincente Ochari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tartalo Francos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tartalo Francos to strike the kick off in the second half. Jacob Mazo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tartalo Francos in the 53rd minute of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ugutz Horcasitas couldn't finish the play. 84 minutes into the match, Poruena's goal looked a bit too open when Urtsin Varga came free, but Gorbea Güega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Tartalo Francos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poruena's supporters rose to their feet, but Tartalo Francos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacob Mazo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vincente Ochari struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Jacob Mazo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poruena.
