The referee ignored Aguirre's protests and gave Senon Rayon a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd match minute, Aguirre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Senon Rayon to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute Emilio Armental shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Olalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugenio Olalla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Armental, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. When Eneko Castilla came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Aguirre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eneko Castilla couldn't finish the play. Egoitz Licardi's late challenge caught a Aguirre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Egoitz Licardi helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to LaIlusion getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Egoitz Licardi hit a great ball. Perutxo Castillejo's late challenge caught a Aguirre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Perutxo Castillejo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st match minute, LaIlusion was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perutxo Castillejo to maneuver through the defense. LaIlusion's Mederi Peiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eneko Castilla in the 27th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Emilio Armental shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Olalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute of the match LaIlusion got a corner. Aguirre's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Erasto Ranero ran over to the corner to take the kick. LaIlusion's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Eneko Castilla scored to the left of an out of position Mederi Peiro, making the score, 1-0. Guipuzkoa Ballejos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mederi Peiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play.

The wind increased when Emilio Armental made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Eneko Castilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mederi Peiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mederi Peiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eneko Castilla in the 55th minute of the match. Mederi Peiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guipuzkoa Ballejos in the 60th minute of play. Emilio Armental received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Eugenio Olalla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute Emilio Armental shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Olalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gogo Santisteban blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eugenio Olalla having to make a save. Mederi Peiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guipuzkoa Ballejos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Aguirre booed when LaIlusion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodas Taviel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guipuzkoa Ballejos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Mederi Peiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guipuzkoa Ballejos in the 86th minute of play forced LaIlusion's goalkeeper Mederi Peiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eneko Castilla struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Mederi Peiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aguirre. If Emilio Armental had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Aguirre's Eugenio Olalla got control of the ball when Gogo Santisteban tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Aguirre fans cheered their team off the field, for while LaIlusion had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
