When Fonso Porrata fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cuitiva FC's protests and gave Fonso Porrata a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Fonso Porrata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Merexildo Muxi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Moncada having to interfere. After 28 played minutes Pabon got a freekick which was hit by Paolo Vid. Paolo Vid got his second yellow card in the match during the 37th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 38 played minutes, Cuitiva FC's Josepe Nocedo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Xacintu Castellvi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cuitiva FC reached it. Xacintu Castellvi made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Oxarra Brau sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Cuitiva FC booed when Pabon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ihazintu Queipo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fonso Porrata made a kick off. Fonso Porrata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fonso Porrata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Fonso Porrata's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xacintu Castellvi was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. When Cuitiva FC's Fonso Porrata in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pabon's goalie prevented a goal. Fonso Porrata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Xacintu Castellvi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Oxarra Brau came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Cuitiva FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oxarra Brau couldn't finish the play. If Oxarra Brau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fonso Porrata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Xacintu Castellvi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oxarra Brau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xacintu Castellvi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fonso Porrata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xacintu Castellvi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oxarra Brau, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Merexildo Muxi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Moncada having to interfere. Cuitiva FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
