Aquilino Lozana hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Segundo Fuica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lleir Ojesto in the 6th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florian Benavente in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Segundo Fuica saved INDEPENDIENTE SANTAFE from getting behind. In the 9th match minute, INDEPENDIENTE SANTAFE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baiona Corton to maneuver through the defense. Engativa 's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Havier Jayaga in the 11th minute. After taking down the ball on Engativa 's corner Havier Jayaga fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Segundo Fuica quite easily take care of the ball. Segundo Fuica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florian Benavente, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 14thth minute of the game German Albizua who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but INDEPENDIENTE SANTAFE's Segundo Fuica was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Venerando Chico hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute of the match Peruanton Mendiguren sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ramone Queduro skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers German Albizua in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Segundo Fuica saved INDEPENDIENTE SANTAFE from getting behind. 25 minutes into the match, INDEPENDIENTE SANTAFE's goal looked a bit too open when Venerando Chico came free, but Segundo Fuica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of INDEPENDIENTE SANTAFE booed when Engativa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venerando Echaez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florian Benavente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Fuica having to interfere. The long shot by Baiona Corton in the 41st minute really tested Ramone Queduro's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Tello Lanza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tello Lanza to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Tello Lanza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Ramone Queduro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. INDEPENDIENTE SANTAFE's Segundo Fuica proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save INDEPENDIENTE SANTAFE from getting a goal against them. The INDEPENDIENTE SANTAFE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. German Albizua had several of the INDEPENDIENTE SANTAFE's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 68 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-2 score and a disappointed Segundo Fuica as he didn't even see the shot coming. If German Albizua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Engativa 's German Albizua got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baiona Corton in the 78th minute of play forced Engativa 's goalkeeper Ramone Queduro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lleir Ojesto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Segundo Fuica made an important save on a dangerous shot by German Albizua in the 85th minute. Segundo Fuica made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when German Albizua sent off a good shot on target. German Albizua blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Segundo Fuica having to make a save. Segundo Fuica took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florian Benavente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the game, one of INDEPENDIENTE SANTAFE:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Engativa were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
