Herena Guztros's late challenge caught a Curama FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Herena Guztros helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Curama FC booed when Deportivo Cali C.F was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herena Guztros didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Curama FC's goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Artizar came free, but Juan Gurendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mel Tazon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Manolito Cebada made a huge save. Bortzaioriz Ruicerezo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manolito Cebada having to interfere. When Mel Tazon fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curama FC's protests and gave Mel Tazon a yellow card for diving instead. After 19 played minutes Curama FC got a freekick which was hit by Mel Tazon. After 20 played minutes Curama FC got a freekick which was hit by Ladio Bozo. Juan Gurendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laureano Artizar, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Manolito Cebada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ladio Bozo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladio Bozo in the 47th minute of play forced Deportivo Cali C.F's goalkeeper Manolito Cebada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Laureano Artizar made the kick off in the second half. When Ladio Bozo came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Curama FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ladio Bozo couldn't finish the play. In the 54th match minute, Curama FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gudesteo Solloso to maneuver through the defense. Bortzaioriz Ruicerezo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manolito Cebada having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 59 minutes into the game, when Loiola Aldaeta put in a rough tackle. After 60 played minutes Deportivo Cali C.F got a freekick which was hit by Loiola Aldaeta. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mel Tazon in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manolito Cebada saved Deportivo Cali C.F from getting behind. After 63 played minutes Deportivo Cali C.F got a freekick which was hit by Urtsua Seca. Curama FC's Santos Mezcano got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manolito Cebada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ladio Bozo, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Bortzaioriz Ruicerezo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Manolito Cebada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 73 minutes, Bortzaioriz Ruicerezo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curama FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bortzaioriz Ruicerezo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 74th minute, Laureano Artizar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute Herena Guztros managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bortzaioriz Ruicerezo in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manolito Cebada saved Deportivo Cali C.F from getting behind.
