Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Atlético Junior's Tauro Rubina started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the game, Atlético Junior's Tauro Rubina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Colas Santome made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 11th minute Karmel Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oro Irazu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Karmel Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oro Irazu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karmel Berganza in the 19th minute of the match. Atlético Junior's Oro Irazu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karmel Berganza in the 21st minute of play. Tauro Rubina's late challenge caught a Cucuana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tauro Rubina helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Atlético Junior getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Tauro Rubina hit a great ball. The supporters of Cucuana booed when Atlético Junior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venceslao Trana didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Junior's zone, Joaquim Vega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oro Irazu came out of the goal and Joaquim Vega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karmel Berganza in the 43rd minute of play forced Atlético Junior's goalkeeper Oro Irazu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Iratze Rutges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karmel Berganza to make the kick off. Madeo Fleytas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Niva Angeles hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Tauro Rubina struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Colas Santome didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Junior. Karmel Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 80 minutes into the game, when Salomon Reñe put in a rough tackle. 80 minutes into the game, one of Atlético Junior:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gaskon Lemayo placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! If Ibon Luaces had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Iratze Rutges in the 90th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Atlético Junior's Niva Angeles. Oro Irazu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Santoval in the 93rd minute of the match. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 96th minute, when Atlético Junior's Ibon Luaces after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Colas Santome in Cucuana's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. The Cucuana supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Atlético Junior's performance. The match ended with a win for Atlético Junior.
