Sangre Nueva's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quimbay FC the free kick. After 4 played minutes Sangre Nueva got a freekick which was hit by Pastor Descapa. The crowd rose to their feet as Matthew Rioja kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Balasi Colado. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. Balasi Colado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthew Rioja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Vicemte Biempica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Millrick Engraba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pirmin Socarras having to interfere. Matthew Rioja struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Balasi Colado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quimbay FC. Matthew Rioja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Sangre Nueva's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Humberto Aumada fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 31 minutes into the match, Sangre Nueva's goal looked a bit too open when Matthew Rioja came free, but Balasi Colado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matthew Rioja might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Balasi Colado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matthew Rioja ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sangre Nueva's goalkeeper Balasi Colado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cebrian Hesles during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 36th minute, Cebrian Hesles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Humberto Aumada came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Quimbay FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Aumada couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matthew Rioja was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Urdin Alcalde managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sangre Nueva's supporters rose to their feet, but Urdin Alcalde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pirmin Socarras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Millrick Engraba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pirmin Socarras having to interfere. Quimbay FC's Pirmin Socarras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urdin Alcalde in the 63rd minute of play. Urdin Alcalde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Pirmin Socarras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Sangre Nueva booed when Quimbay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claude Vanegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Tome Olave was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quimbay FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sangre Nueva the free kick. Tome Olave kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 78th minute Urdin Alcalde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pirmin Socarras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Millrick Engraba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Pirmin Socarras made a huge save. In the 83rd minute, Millrick Engraba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pirmin Socarras was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Millrick Engraba got free with Pirmin Socarras in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Matthew Rioja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Humberto Aumada notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Sangre Nueva's Balasi Colado. Balasi Colado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Quimbay FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
