The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pirmin Socarras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernat Jacolet in the 6th minute of play. In the 9thth minute of the game Humberto Aumada who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costas's Ferman Gochicoa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 16th minute Matthew Rioja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferman Gochicoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pirmin Socarras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd minute, Igon Candelera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Bernat Jacolet came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Costas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernat Jacolet couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Costas booed when Quimbay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claude Vanegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pirmin Socarras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernat Jacolet in the 39th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matthew Rioja stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Matthew Rioja recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Humberto Aumada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Omar Sanles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pirmin Socarras having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Humberto Aumada cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ferman Gochicoa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pirmin Socarras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Sanles in the 66th minute of the match. Pirmin Socarras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernat Jacolet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernat Jacolet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pirmin Socarras having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Quimbay FC's Tome Olave got a free kick in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Sanles in the 80th minute of play forced Quimbay FC's goalkeeper Pirmin Socarras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Humberto Aumada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Ferman Gochicoa made a huge save. If Humberto Aumada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Aumada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quimbay FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
