Tie FC's Jorge Sabino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karlo Pierredonda in the 20th minute of play. Telmo Davalos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Xofre Arias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Telmo Davalos got free with Xofre Arias in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Tie FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Sabino should have stopped the shot. 64 minutes into the game, Inocencio Basanta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Solano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tie FC the free kick. After 64 played minutes Solano got a freekick which was hit by Inocencio Basanta.
